The Challenge

InsightHub's 12 operational systems — including 3 ERPs, 2 CRMs, 4 POS systems, and various departmental spreadsheets — contained conflicting data with no single source of truth. Monthly board reports took a team of 4 analysts an entire week to compile, often containing errors discovered after presentation. Data Source Inventory & Quality Assessment

Cataloged all 12 data sources, documented schemas and data quality issues, and identified the master data entities that needed reconciliation across systems.

Data Architecture Design

Designed a medallion architecture (bronze-silver-gold) in Snowflake with clear data lineage, documented transformation logic, and a semantic layer for consistent business metric definitions.

ETL Pipeline Development

Built automated data pipelines using Airbyte for extraction and dbt for transformation, with data quality checks, anomaly detection, and alerting for pipeline failures.

Dashboard & Report Development

Designed and built 15 executive dashboards and 40+ operational reports in Tableau, with drill-down paths, filters, and embedded alerting for KPI threshold breaches.

Self-Service Training & Governance

Trained 60 business users on self-service analytics, established a data governance committee, and created documentation for data definitions and report standards.
