What should I include to get a useful project estimate?
Start with a few sentences: we use these tools; this task repeats this often; our team gets stuck here; we want the system to do this. Add who can review the result, important exceptions, budget constraints and any deadline. The downloadable project brief provides the same prompts. An estimate follows a review of the scope and technical dependencies.
Do I need a technical specification before contacting you?
No. Explain the business problem in your own words. Screenshots or sample records can be discussed later using a suitable sharing arrangement. Start the enquiry without passwords, access tokens or confidential client data.
How do remote projects work across time zones?
Tell us your country, time zone and preferred hours for a review call. We agree meeting overlap, written updates, review checkpoints and who can approve decisions before the project starts. Support availability is part of the agreed scope, rather than an assumed round-the-clock service.
Can an agency enquire before committing to its client?
Yes. Share a non-confidential outline of the proposed work, the systems involved and what your agency intends to deliver. Technical discovery can identify unknowns before an end-client proposal. Confidentiality, communication and any discovery fee should be agreed before detailed material is shared.
Can a proposal account for our currency and data requirements?
Include your preferred billing currency and any requirements for hosting, data access, processing locations or supplier review. These are assessed during scoping and confirmed in the proposal or agreement. We do not assume that one setup meets every country or industry requirement.
